On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing the 7 worst fast food meals for weight loss from some of the most popular fast food restaurants.

It’s no secret that fast food restaurants are not the place to Live Lean.

Although some fast food restaurants are providing “healthier” options, there are still some gut exploding meal options that I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat.

During my research, I went to the nutrition information section of each of these 7 popular fast food restaurants.

I then picked out the worst options based on what everyday people may choose to eat when ordering a meal.

Each analyzed meal contains a typical main item, a side item, and a drink.

The 7 Worst Fast Food Meals

Here are the worst of the worst fast food meals, starting in order with the lowest calories to the highest calories.

#7. Tim Horton’s

Here is the worst fast food meal for weight loss at Tim Horton’s:

  • Large BLT Sandwich
  • Blueberry Fritter
  • Extra Large Candy Cane Hot Chocolate

Nutrition Facts:

  • Total Calories: 1620
  • Protein: 39g
  • Carbohydrates: 246g
  • Fat: 53g

The majority of the 246g of carbohydrates comes from the extra large candy cane hot chocolate.

This is the type of hot chocolate that is not your friend to Live Lean.

I could say so many different things when it comes to the chemicals and unhealthy ingredients used in the foods at Subway.

However, for this video post, we are simply sticking to analyzing the calories and macronutrients of the meals.

So let’s get into it.

  • Footlong Spicy Italian
  • 2 M&M Cookies
  • 21oz Coke

Nutrition Facts:

  • Total Calories: 1640 calories
  • Protein: 44g
  • Carbohydrates: 227g
  • Fat: 68g
  • Sodium: 3195mg

That is a crazy amount of sodium for one meal.

  • Large Waffle Potato Fries
  • Large Peach Milkshake

  • Carbohydrates: 266g
  • Fat: 75g
  • Sodium: 2530mg

  • Fat: 124g
  • Sodium: 3830mg

Every one of these unhealthy fast food meals have the following in common:

  • Low quality fake ingredients
  • Lots of calories
  • Bad types of fat
  • Loads of sugary carbohydrates
  • Little fiber
  • Low quality protein
  • A heck of a lot of sodium

Stay away from these unhealthy fast food options unless you’re training to be a sumo wrestler.

As always, the best option is to control the ingredients going into your food, by cooking for yourself in bulk.

Then take leftovers with you to eat throughout the day.

  10. Hey brad jus here showin apreciation to your page, since i followed yu and
    watched your videos i have learned alot, thanks to the way you break things
    down and make it easy to understand. I just wanted to make a request or two
    on the next videos that you will upload to see if yu can explain the
    bulking and cutting phase. Does it work? If so can anyone do it? If not
    what is the right method or an alternative? Or what do you suggest? The
    other one is, the advantages and benefits of supplements for example, if
    your lifting heavy what should yu take or what woud be a good source of
    supplements for that kind of training, same goes for HIIT, light weight
    training etc. I feel that this would be very educating to myself and others
    who need the explanation from an expert in the educating way that you do
    it. Not like other channels who make it sound like they are just
    advertising a product in your face and almost bsing you to buy it. Well
    hope to hear from ya man. Keep doing what youre doing, like your videos!!

    Chick-fil-a meals within the last six months. C.f.a. as resent as two weeks
    ago..The peach shake was awesome, but seeing the calories is making me
    rethink that choice. I will be passing this video on to others that also
    eat these meals. When you know better you do better.

    wonder why they are fat, indeed, why?

  19. Wendy’s Asian cashew Chicken salad is only 390 calories including the
    dressing. 33g carbs, 37g protein, and 13g fat. Got a bit of sodium, but on
    days I can’t pack a lunch, that and water make a pretty decent lunch.

    chicken salad/water, also subway I get roast beef no mayo and all veggies
    w/ vinager&oil on 6in. WWbread. I always get the same thing but its not
    every week every now then… I try to live lean like you two to keep myself

  23. Brad, I always like to watch your videos and actually try a lot of your
    HIIT workouts after weights. Just curious what you eat on your cheating
    day? I’ve got two kids and sometimes just have to eat whatever is left on
    the table. But I’ve been keeping ~10% of body fat level for years thanks
    to 6-day workout, usually I do supersets followed by HIIT type of cardio. I
    love your short-time workouts, I know for sure they work – of course I do a
    lot of different things too 🙂 Thanks and keep it going for people like
    me who is quite but watching your great work!

  24. Subway…? The coke has about 500 calories by itself… Not counting the
    cookies. You can go into any restaurant and order a milkshake or ice cream
    with a salad it would still be bad

  25. Those choices r high in protein but if u don’t have the sides or drinks n
    not a lot of bread it be ok right I do like my chipotle now n then but only
    get one of the carbs n have a bowl not burrito

    generally don’t add the dressing.
