6 Easy Superfoods You Are Probably NOT Eating

6 Seeds To Improve Your Health and Body Composition:

On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing 6 seed superfoods that if I had to guess…

You’re probably NOT eating.

If you’re looking to get super healthy, while destroying your stubborn belly fat for good, understand this.

More than anything, the foods you’re putting into your body are either taking you closer to, or further away from your health and fitness goals.

Unfortunately a lot of you are not eating seeds as part of your everyday diet.

Probably because you don’t know how to incorporate them into your meals.

This means you’re missing out on providing your body with an abundance of healthy nutrients that also help improve your metabolism.

How Do I Incorporate Eating Seeds Into My Everyday Diet?

Seeds are an excellent calorie source to get lean, energized, and improve your hormone levels.

Now you may be thinking, I’m not a bird dude, how am I supposed to eat seeds?

Add these 6 superfood seeds to your big ass salads, use them to top your cooked vegetables and stir frys, or add them to your smoothies and protein shakes.

6 Superfood Seeds You Are Probably NOT Eating

#1. Chia Seeds:

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are high in protein, magnesium, vitamin C, and many antioxidants to keep you looking young and healthy.

They also contain healthy omega-3 fats and are loaded with fiber to help keep you feeling full as well as cleaning you out.

Not only do chia seeds add a ton of nutrients to salads, they’re also great to add to smoothies since they are excellent at thickening your shake.

I even included chia seeds as Superfood #17 in my Fitness Superfood video series.

#2. Flax Seeds:

Flax Seeds

Flax seeds are also a decent source of plant based omega-3s and fiber.

These babies may actually help you detoxify excess estrogen in your body which can help create a leaner body and potentially reduce the risk of cancer. You can replace these with this nootropic supplement if you want too.

Best to stick with fresh ground flax seeds rather than flax seed oil.

Also soak them overnight so they are more digestible when you add them to your smoothies and shakes.

Here’s my green protein smoothie recipe that we add flax seeds to.

#3. Hemp Seeds:

Hemp Seeds

If you’re a vegetarian, many people use hemp protein powder as it’s higher in the essential amino acids the body requires to build muscle.

But the whole hemp seed is also a decent source of protein and healthy fats that are great for healthy skin, hair, and joints.

#4. Pumpkin Seeds:

Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds are loaded with hormone friendly magnesium and zinc, which can not only help reduce stress, but can also help manage your blood sugar.

As you know, managing your blood sugar then manages the release of insulin, aka the fat storing hormone.

#5. Sesame Seeds:

Sesame Seeds

In my 4 Foods to Help You Sleep video, sesame seeds were recommended as they are high in the essential amino acid tryptophan which is a precursor to the neurotransmitter involved in sleep, serotonin.

Sesame seeds are packed full of fiber, b vitamins, magnesium, and zinc.

Like flax seeds, they’ve also been shown to help reduce estrogen in the body and lower blood pressure.

Although you wouldn’t typically throwback a handful of sesame seeds, you can add them to your salads or grind them up to make tahini and add it to your meats and vegetables.

Check out my Chicken Tahini salad recipe video.

On we use sesame seeds in our:

#6. Sunflower Seeds:

Sunflower Seeds

Not only are sunflower seeds filled with healthy fats and magnesium, they also may help raise the level of melatonin in the body to allow for better quality and deeper sleep.

I also add sunflower seeds to my quinoa energy bars recipe.
