To simplify the movement, I like to break down the different portions of the lift, into steps.

If you don’t have access to an olympic barbell, or it intimidates you, you can start with a smaller fixed straight barbell, and follow the same form and technique.
Start with a light weight, then challenge yourself by building up to 3 sets of 6 reps.
