Live Lean Nation, on today’s exercise demonstration, I’m showing you how to do swiss ball stretch lunge with medicine ball.
The Swiss Ball Stretch Lunge With Medicine Ball is a great way to train each leg independently, improve core stability, as well as giving you a good stretch in the hip flexors.
Watch the SWISS BALL STRETCH LUNGE WITH MEDICINE BALL: exercise demonstration video above.
To perform SWISS BALL STRETCH LUNGE WITH MEDICINE BALL:
1. While holding a medicine ball in both hands in front of your abs, place the top of one foot on the swiss ball, with your other foot firmly planted into the floor.
2. Begin the movement by contracting your core for stability. Then bend your knee of the leg planted into the floor while straightening the leg on top of the swiss ball as you bend forward, maintaining a flat back as you touch the medicine ball to the floor.
3. Feel the stretch in your hip flexor and the tension in the opposite quad.
4. Press your planted foot through the floor to rise back to the beginning position.
5. Repeat.
