Today was a work day on the beach.

Unfortunately I didn’t have any healthy snacks to take with me. Fortunately I did have an idea for a healthy protein snack that could be prepared quickly and easily.

On todays episode of Live Lean TVs “Brad’s Cookbook”, I show you how to make Chocolate Mocha Protein Squares.

This tastes like a treat, BUT…it’s packed full of healthy protein and complex carbohydrates. Who thought something could taste so good…and include ZERO refined sugar/flour.

Here are the Chocolate Mocha Protein Squares ingredients and instructions…

Ingredients:

– 3/4 cup of oats
– 1/4 cup of oat bran
– packet of stevia
– 1 tsp of cocoa
– 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
– 1 tbsp of ground coffee
– 6 egg whites
– 1/4 tsp baking powder
– 2 diced apples

Instructions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350F.

2. Add everything to a blender except the apples. Blend.

3. Add mixture to a mixing bowl. Add apples to bowl.

4. Spray baking dish with non-stick spray.

5. Add mixture to baking dish.

6. Bake in oven for 30 mins.

7. Enjoy!

  1. Oh, by the way… This was Awesome….

    The peanut butter batch baked in a silicone cupcake pan and I added one almond to each cup. When they baked the tops split open looking very elegant. I waited for them to cool a bit and put just a dab of peanut butter in the opening, so they were kind of like surprise protein cupcakes. Mmmmm….

    Made one batch with coffee and one batch substituting peanut butter for the coffee (cuz hubby hates coffee). Even my 20 yr. old son Loved Them. I took some to work for healthy eats during a very long shift… and I feel great!

    I can’t stand Stevia; have you made them with any other sweeteners (honey? applesauce?)
    Guess I could just try em without and let you know!
