On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing one of my best late night healthy snack recipes, that is so quick and easy to make.

This is one of my best late night healthy snack recipes that will fulfill your “chocolate fix”, help you repair and build muscle tissue, and create a fat burning environment in your body overnight.

One of the biggest keys to Living Lean, is keeping your appetite in check, all night long. 

You do this by keeping your blood sugar and hormones balanced.

A healthy and safe late night snack

This late night protein shake is a healthy and safe snack, as it’s and not filled with fattening sugar or unhealthy hydrogenated fats.

It’s also high in protein, so it’s going to help you build muscle and burn fat throughout the night.

After tasting and seeing the difference, your late night cravings for sugary and fattening snacks will decrease.

Choc-o-late shake
Instructions
  1. In a blender, add 1 cup of water and 5 ice cubes to give the shake a thicker smoothie consistency that is cold and refreshing.
  2. Add one serving of chocolate whey protein powder (discount links to our favorite brands below) and 1 tsp of cacao powder for a great source of antioxidants.
  3. If you want to add some extra sweetness, add 1 packet of stevia. Stevia is a natural sweetener that comes from a plant. This is different than artificial sweeteners, like Splenda, that contain chemicals.
  4. Once all the ingredients are added to the blender, add the top, and blend this bad boy up.
  5. Pour your Choc-o-LATE protein shake into a nice sized glass and it's now ready to drink.
