We are joined by special guest, Jeremy Reid, to help us answer your questions.

You may recognize Jeremy from a past video we did called, Top 6 Douchey Things Guys Do At The Gym.

Top 6 Douchey Things Guys Do At The Gym

This was a gym comedy skit highlighting the douchey things guys do in the gym, and what you should not do.

Even though Jeremy played the role of the Gym Douche, as you get to know Jermey better, you will quickly see, he is a great guy, and the complete opposite of that character.

Jeremy also has an amazing YouTube channel to go check out.

This is where we share tons of tips on nutrition, exercise, and everything you need to Live Lean.

Question #1: How Do You Get Calcium In Your Diet Without Dairy?

CiscoBalls on Snapchat asks:

I’m wondering how to get calcium without dairy products? What do you guys do for calcium without dairy in your diet? I know there are small amounts of calcium in lots of foods, but it seems like a glass of milk would fix that. By the way, I’m lactose intolerant. I’ve been trying Tums just because they are all calcium. What are your thoughts on that deficiency?

A post shared by Brad Gouthro – Live Lean TV (@bradgouthro)

On our Live Lean TV Facebook page, I also posted a head-to-head video of Jessica and I doing the running man challenge.

I think I smoked her, but let’s be real.

She’s getting all the sympathy votes from the female fans because, as you can see, she was pregnant, and doing it with straight up ridiculous and absurd white girl dance moves.

All these things were in here favor.

We have lots of fun doing that kind of stuff.

If you want to see other challenges, throw them our way.

We always love acting like a fool.

Life is too short to be serious all the time, so we don’t live like.

Case in point, Jeremy will now forever be known as the gym douche.

Question #6: Do You Meditate? How To Start?

Mike McDonough on YouTube asks:

Do you guys meditate? If so, for how long? Brad, I’m learning a ton of good strategies from your new book, Think And Live Lean. I’m almost done with it. It’s all about taking action baby.

Question #7: Which Fitness YouTubers Do We Follow?

sandraoledan on Snapchat asks:

Hey guys, I have 5 questions for you:

  1. Which fitness YouTubers do you follow?
  2. What music recommendations do you have for workouts?
  3. Have you considered baby girl names yet?
  4. What are the most effective exercises in the gym for basketball players?
  5. For Brad, what was the most interesting part of writing Think And Live Lean?

5 questions Sandra?

That’s pushing it 😂.

Obviously, Jeremy Reid Fitness.

Jessica also likes to follow Nikki Blackketter’s vlogs and workouts.

I mentioned on Snapchat that I don’t follow many guys on YouTube.

However, I do follow Gary Vaynerchuk.

Big shout out to him.

For fitness, I also follow Steve Cook.

I’ve interviewed Steve Cook a couple times on Live Lean TV, so big shout out to him.

He’s a great guy.

Question #8: What Music Recommendations Do You Have For Workouts?

This is a tough question, because what I like is not necessarily what will like.

For example, if I tell you to listen to Elvis Presley, is that going to pump you up?

It’s similar to saying, what should my favorite color be?

However, if I had to pick, I’m a guy that likes hip-hop music.

Jeremy has a heavy metal background, so he listens to the type of music that makes you want to punch puppies.

For example, a few of Jeremy’s favorite bands are Lamb Of God, Chimaira, and Meshuggah.

He says it’s not for everybody, which is true, since I’ve never heard of any of them.

Jess likes to listen to 50 Cent while see works out.

Especially after we had a good long chat with 50 Cent in the gym, after Jess took a selfie with him.

50 Cent is a good dude, even though he was hitting on my wife at the time.

I take it as a compliment, since 50 Cent could probably have any girl in the world.

The thought that he’s hitting on my wife, means I must be doing well.

It’s all good.

Now Jessica listens to him everywhere, since his songs really gets her pumped.

Question #9: Have You Considered Baby Girl Names Yet?

Yes, but we’re not going to release that yet.

Update: Her name is Kyla ❤️.

Question #10: What Are The Most Effective Exercises In The Gym For Basketball Players?

Since we’re tight on time, we can’t go to indepth into that question, however I would focus on:

If you are a hardcore basketball player, you will be running all game, so it’s really important to work on your cardio, so you don’t get burned out.

Question #11: What Was The Most Interesting Part Of Writing Think And Live Lean?

I love that question.

Think And Live Lean was the book I just launched.

Think And Live Lean

The most interesting part was getting really deep into the personal stories that I shared about my journey.

As a dude who has a lot of testosterone running through his body, it can be a challenge to open yourself up and be vulnerable.

This includes sharing all the heartaches that I went through growing up, losing my friends, and going through a divorce.

I also shared all my insights into my business, as well as my vision for my business.

That was like therapy for me, so that’s what I would say was the most interesting part.

It’s a scary thing to reveal all your flaws on paper, especially for men.

It takes some balls for a man to be transparent like that.

Ultimately, it was an awesome experience and based on the reviews, people are loving it too.

I appreciate and an so grateful for everybody who has read the book.

Question #12: Why Do Bodybuilders Restrict Their Calories To Get Lean For A Competition?

marisol.cardriel on Snapchat asks:

So, we are told that we have to eat in order to build muscle and get lean. Why is it that bodybuilders restrict calories in order to get lean for competition? Are fitness competitions healthy for you? Not that I want to starve myself, just curious.

Are Fitness Competitions Healthy For You?

Question #13: What Would Be The Best Workout And Diet For A Teenager Trying To Gain Muscle?

Giovanni on Snapchat asks:

Hey Brad, love your YouTube channel. It has helped me stay positive and lose a lot of weight. I was wondering what would be the best workout and diet for a 17 year old trying to gain muscle? What is your best workout advice on how to start gaining muscle as a teenager. Keep up the great work!

That’s Another Episode Of The #AskLiveLeanTV Show

All right, we’re going to call that a show.

We answered 13 of your questions, so that should be a good one.

I just want to say thanks to Jeremy for coming on out to the show.

You can find out more about Jeremy Reid on:

Hopefully you enjoyed his performance in the Top 6 Douchey Things Guys Do At The Gym.

Question Of The Day

We always throw the question of the day over to the guest.

Here’s Jeremy’s question:

Since we had a question about baby names, I can tell it’s something you are keeping under the curtains.

What are your favorite girl baby names?

Just to clarify, we already know what the name is, so it’s not like you will change our opinion.

However, maybe I’ll give out a free signed copy of my Think And Live Lean book, and Jeremy will give out a free Jeremy Reid Fitness t-shirt, if you can guess the name.

If you know us personally, and we already told you the name, you are not eligible to win the book and t-shirt.

Friends and family do not apply.

Thank you so much for hanging out with us.

Don’t forget to ask us more questions, so we can keep this show rolling.

We need new questions every week, so ask us on Live Lean TV Twitter with the #AskLiveLeanTV, and we will surely feature your question.

A lot of people are asking or snapping me questions without using the #AskLiveLeanTV.

However, it’s very important to use the #AskLiveLeanTV as it shows me that you want us to answer it on the show.

This is the reason why we’re doing the show.

If we don’t have questions, we can’t do the show.

Don’t worry about them being too personal because we get questions about protein farts, bubble guts, 17 year old wrist strength, and all kinds of other personal stuff.

Seriously, there is nothing that would be too personal to ask.

These fun questions honestly makes the shows more interesting for us as well, rather than getting the same questions such as, “How do I lose belly fat?” or “What’s a good protein source?“.

Try to be creative.

We love your questions and feedback, so try to come up and surprise us with some cool questions, and we guarantee we will get you on the show.

We will be back again next week with another episode.

Thanks for watching and keep Living Lean.
