On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, we’re sharing how to focus on health and fitness when you are stressed and burned out.

Here’s today’s viewer question:

@karlagaytan42 from Twitter asks: I’ve found myself stressed and burned out lately. How can I refocus on my health and fitness for my upcoming sports?

How To Focus On Health And Fitness When You Are Stressed And Burned Out

Jess: Give yourself a recovery, go on vacation, and get out of town. 

Brad: I have a good memory, so I remember we recently answered your question about overdoing it on the fourth of July.

Now you are saying you are stressed and burned out.

It sounds like you’ve been partying and having fun, which could be classified as a form of relaxing.

Jess: I think the fourth of July question was about overeating and what you do after you overeat.

That doesn’t necessarily make you less stressed.

If you need to decrease your stress, you should get away from whatever is stressing you.

Brad: I’m always less stressed after eating pizza.

Jess: I know, right?

Brad: Pizza is just like weed to me.

After eating it, you just want to sit on the couch and relax.

Jess: Enough about you Boo, jeez, just answer her question 😂.

What you need to do is get away from whatever is stressing you out.

If it’s your specific sport that is stressing you, get away from it.

Brad: What if her parents or her boyfriend are stressing her out?

Jess: Yes, get away from your parents and dump your boyfriend.

This is the worst advice ever 😂 .

She needs to give us a little more information on what she is stressing her out.

Is it possible for her to get away from that stress?

That’s a really good way to reinvigorate yourself and reignite that spark for your upcoming sport.

Brad: The way I look at it is, working out relieves my stress.

Whenever I’m stressed, I work out. 

Jess: Yeah, me too.

Also playing sports helps relieve stress too because it’s fun.

However, if it’s not fun for you anymore, you may need to reconsider the things that you’re doing, because it should be fun.

If it’s not fun, that’s a problem.
