On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m showing you how to make a vegetable protein smoothie and sharing why it can be a quick last minute dinner recipe.

Ok, so here’s the deal.

You finally get home after a long day of being hassled by your boss and you’re starving.

But you suddenly realize you didn’t take anything out for dinner, so there is nothing ready to eat.

How many times do you forget to defrost your steak, chicken breast, or fish?

This happens to me all the time.

How do you get your quick fix of dinner time protein and vegetables?

Here is my quick go-to trick to ensure you still get in your protein and vegetables, when nothing is ready to go for dinner.

How To Make A Vegetable Protein Smoothie

So what I want you to do is go to your fridge and grab some hot sauce.

If you don’t have hot sauce, get it during your next grocery trip.

Hot sauce makes anything taste better.

Next, go to your freezer and get yourself some frozen vegetables.

Once again, if you don’t have frozen vegetables, add those to your grocery list.

How To Make A Vegetable Protein Smoothie
Course Protein Shake
Prep Time 30 seconds

Ingredients
  • 2 handfuls frozen vegetables (I used broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots)
  • Water (just enough to cover the vegetables)
  • 1-2 squirts hot sauce
  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder (use egg white protein or whey protein isolate)

  • 2 handfuls frozen vegetables (I used broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots)

  • 1-2 squirts hot sauce
  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder (use egg white protein or whey protein isolate)
How To Make A Vegetable Protein Smoothie
Instructions
  1. Add 2 handfuls of frozen vegetables to a blender.
  2. Add just enough water to cover the vegetables.
  3. Add 1-2 squirts of hot sauce and 1 serving of vanilla protein powder.
  4. Place the top on the blender and blend until smooth.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

Protein: 28g
Carbohydrates: 11g

So there you have it.

Protein and vegetables, into a glass, in just 30 seconds.

When you get home from work and have nothing else available to eat, add some protein, vegetables, and hot sauce to a blender.

Pour it into a glass and in just 30 seconds, you have a meal.

A quick, simple, and easy recipe to put together that only took 30 seconds.

Obviously I’d rather you have steamed vegetables and chicken or steak, but when you need it, go with this vegetable protein smoothie recipe.
