Battle Rope Gainz | Live Lean Life Ep. 043

On today’s vlog episode of Live Lean TV, we’re showing you a day in the life of Living Lean, including battle rope exercises and a delicious pan-seared salmon recipe.

In Live Lean Life Vlog Ep. 043 I share:

Fun Couples Workout Ideas

Since Jessica joined me for today’s workout, we wanted to show the following fun couples workout ideas:

4 Battle Rope Exercises

  1. Battle Ropes Alternating Single Arm Waves With Burpee Push Up
  2. Battle Rope Claps With Burpee Push Up
  3. Battle Ropes Double Arm Waves With Burpee Push Up
  4. Battle Ropes Double Arm Waves Flying Push Up

Playing Volleyball On Coronado Island, San Diego

After the workout, Jessica and I took Kyla and Bruno to a park on Coronado Island.

If you are not familiar with the geography of San Diego, we live in downtown San Diego.

To get from downtown San Diego to Coronado Island, you have to take the Coronado bridge.

Even though it’s only a 10 minute drive, it feels like it is a ways away since it’s very suburban.

Once we arrived at the park, Bruno and Kyla hung out watching all the other kids playing, while Jessica and I had a quick picnic with sandwiches.

Fun fact: you can actually see our condo building in downtown San Diego from Coronado Island.

volleyball

While I was waiting for Jessica to finish her sandwich, I played solo volleyball by setting myself, spiking the ball, then running to retrieve the ball.

If you’re not very motivated to do cardio, this is how you make yourself do sprints.

Once Jessica was ready, we played pepper.

While we were playing, Kyla was checking her likes on Instagram.

Are you guys following her yet?

kyla

Kyla says her Instagram handle is @KyGouthro.

Follow me.

Say follow me.

Family Walk

After our picnic and volleyball we took a family walk on the boardwalk.

I was wearing Kyla in the babybjorn so you know I was doing the “dad strut”.

It was also cool to see other dad’s on tandem bikes with their kids.

I’m excited to do that with my kids someday.

Another Meal Kit Delivery From Sunbasket

I’m back in the kitchen to show you another recipe.

We just got another meal kit delivery from our friends at Sunbasket.

This is what it’s going to look like.

They include a recipe instructions card, as well as all the ingredients in the meal kit, including wild salmon from the Yukon River.

It’s so awesome that all the ingredients are perfectly portioned for two people.

This makes it so easy to make dinner.

If you are a dude preparing to go on a hot date, and you really want to impress the girl, Sunbasket meal kits always comes in handy.

Sunbasket meal kits are also good for the parents that want to feed their kids good food.

Even though the recipe says it’s only two servings, they are really big servings.

In my opinion, they are usually more than two servings, which is a good thing.

You could definitely stretch the meals to three or maybe four servings.

Can You Drink Alcohol When Living Lean?

It’s been quite a day, so we’re also enjoying a glass of wine.

A little note for you about alcohol.

Some people think you can’t drink alcohol when you’re Living Lean.

Hopefully, we have proven that you can.

We’re Living Lean and we enjoy having a couple of drinks of alcohol per week.

Two to three drinks of alcohol a week is not going to kill your gains.

We’re going to put a little music on then show you how quick and fun this is dinner recipe is to make.

That’s enough talking, let’s get cooking.

Enjoy this dinner cooking date.

Let’s go.

Brew, I have to lick my finger.

Kyla also decided to make an appearance.
