Standing Alternating Neutral Grip Dumbbell Shoulder Press

How To Do A Standing Alternating Neutral Grip Dumbbell Shoulder Press Exercise Demonstration Video and Guide

The Standing Alternating Neutral Grip Dumbbell Shoulder Press is a great exercise that targets each shoulder independently.

To get started:

  1. With a shoulder width stance, knees slightly bent, hold a dumbbell in each hand with a palms facing each other neutral grip, elbows bent, just outside your shoulders.
  2. Keeping your core contracted, extend one arm to press the dumbbell over your head.
  3. Under control, reverse the movement by bending your elbow to lower the dumbbell back to your shoulder, while extending your opposite arm to press the other dumbbell over your head.
  4. Repeat by continuing to alternate each arm.
