Live Lean Nation, on today’s exercise demonstration, I’m showing you how to do a standing dumbbell pressout.
The dumbbell standing pressout is a unique exercise you can do when you’re limited to just one light dumbbell or use it as a shoulder workout finisher. It works your shoulders, arms, chest, and back.
Watch the Standing Dumbbell Pressout exercise demonstration video above.
To perform Standing Dumbbell Pressout:
1. Get in a shoulder width stand while holding a light dumbbell at its ends against your chest.
2. Focus on pressing the ends of the dumbbell together to feel a good isometric squeeze in your chest throughout the entire movement.
3. Push the dumbbell away from your chest so your arms are parallel to the ground at eye level, and fully extended in front of you.
4. To reverse the movement, focus on pulling the dumbbell back to your chest while squeezing your shoulder blades together.
5. Repeat.
