Changing Up My Fitness Routine With Boxing, Swimming, Stadiums, And Golf

Change Creates Results: Live Lean Life Vlog Ep. 08

On today’s vlog episode of Live Lean TV, I’m showing you how I’m changing up my fitness routine with boxing, swimming, stadiums, and golf.

This is Live Lean Life Vlog Ep. 08.

Let’s do this.

Thoughts On Boxing Workouts

To start the day, Jessica and I get in another stellar workout.

Jessica followed a pregnancy workout from her Live Lean pregnancy workout program, and I completed a quick 20 minute heavy bag boxing workout.

If you’re like me, and don’t know how to box, simply hitting the heavy bag is a great form of cardio.

How To Straight Punch Cardio | Exercise Video and Guide

This makes me want to learn how to get better at boxing.

I want to be able to hold my own in the ring.

In the comment section below, let me know if you want me to put together a few cardio style boxing workouts.

If you do, Jessica just wants to make sure you don’t make fun of boxing form, since I’ve never been professionally trained by a boxer 😉

So if you’re on YouTube and know how to box, let’s train.

Side note: if you’re in Playa Del Rey, California, come check out Real Fitness to train, and get results.

You may see us there as well.

Post Workout Nutrition

All right, it’s time to go for a 10 minute walk back home to get my protein shake.

I usually have a pre-made protein shake with me, since I like to drink it immediately after my workouts.

This is a great way to quickly get the required nutrients in my body to start rebuilding and growing after a workout.

However, even though I already made it, I forgot to bring it with me this time.

Earning Our Cheat Meal

Once we got home, Jessica wanted to go swimming in our condo pool.

All I wanted to do was eat pizza, since it was only an hour and half until the hockey game.

To compromise, Jessica said she would go get us pizza, if I agreed to go swimming.

That’s how we negotiate.

Here’s the deal with cheat meals.

I always say: if you want to have pizza, put in the damn work to earn the pizza.

For example, we both just got back from a quick workout.

Even though we were gone for approximately 40 minutes, only 20 minutes of that was my actual workout time.

The other 20 minutes was comprised of me filming exercise demonstration videos.

I also used some of that time workout my puppy Bruno.

It’s important to toughen him up, so he can take care of his mommy when daddy is not here 😉

Ultimately, I felt I could use another workout, since my morning 20 minute boxing workout wasn’t enough to earn a pizza cheat meal.

Swimming Sprints In The Pool

I love having access to a swimming pool.

I call the pool “the treadmill of the water”.

It’s time to jump in the pool and complete 20 freestyle swim sprint laps.

Honestly, I’m not the best technical swimmer, but I’m loving these swim sprints.

Swimming is another form of cardio that takes my body to the limits.

My heart was still pounding even after I got out of the pool.

It feels good though.

Get in the pool, change up your workout routine, and get better results.

Hitting Golf Ball At The Driving Range

Jessica’s dad was in town, so we all decided to hit a few golf balls at the driving range.

While we were there, they were blasting a lot of romantic songs from the speaker system.

It was pumping me up as I wash crushing my driver over 300 yards.

It felt good to swing the clubs again.

Plus, watching Jessica learn how to hit a golf ball was so cute.

She was a little stiff with her swing, but eventually she hit a couple solid shots.

Next Day: Outdoor Football Stadium Exercises

If you have access to an outdoor football stadium, try these 4 football stadium exercises:

  1. Tour de Stade Stadium Stairs
  2. Field Sprint
  3. Fast Feet Bleacher Hop Stadiums
  4. Single Leg Bleacher Hop Stadiums

There you go.

That was another outdoor workout.

If you think you can skip your workout, because you don’t have access to a gym, think again.

Get outside and get it in.

Jessica Awkwardly Rearranges Our Furniture

When I got home I noticed Jessica rearranged our living room furniture again.

I still don’t get the furniture set up since she moved the couch to face the wall.

Are we just supposed to stare at the wall, rather than the TV?

According to Jessica, the furniture is set up, “so we can talk to each other more about our feelings, while I’m in the kitchen cleaning your dishes.”

🤦‍♂️ Save me.
