Alright, my Live Lean message is all about consuming natural, one ingredient foods, and moving your body more.
Unfortunately there are plenty of shitty pre-mixed supplements on the market that are filled with junk and chemicals.
If you missed it, check out my previous review on The Dolce Whey protein powder from Onnit.
But before I share my thoughts on the T+ pre-workout supplement, I have to clarify something.
Onnit is NOT paying me an endorsement deal to film these videos.
I’m pretty sure that’ll be apparent once you see my review of the T+ supplement.
First of all, the T+ is a pre-workout supplement designed to help the body get stronger and recover faster.
Strength is super important not only in sports, but being strong also makes everyday life easier.
And for me, I love taking some sort of pre-workout as it focuses and energizes me for my workout.
Ingredients is what sets the T+ pre-workout apart from 99% of other pre-workout formulas on the market.
The T+ does not include chemicals or stimulants. It doesn’t even include caffeine.
Which is an issue for me as I’m a big fan of caffeine taken in moderation.
So I’m mixed with this rating because I love that it’s sweetened with stevia and not artificial sweeteners, but I really miss the caffeine.
It also includes a proprietary blend of amino acids, herbs, and vitamins and minerals.
But because it’s a “proprietary” blend, you never know how much of each ingredient it contains.
This is why I prefer to mix my own homemade pre-workout drink by adding in various single ingredients so that I know exactly the amount that I’m getting.
But that’s just me. If that’s not a big deal to you, a formulated pre-workout should work just fine for you.
I give the ingredients a 3.5/5. Only because as a pre-workout, I’m missing the caffeine.
This is a natural melon flavor, but there’s no other way to put it…
It just doesn’t taste good.
Which is no surprise, because it doesn’t have an overly sweetened artificial taste that so many pre-workouts have.
But that’s what happens when you go natural.
And to be honest, that’s what my homemade pre-workout blend tastes like too.
Based on this. I give the taste a ⅖.
Nobody likes grainy and chunky drinks that don’t mix well. No worries here.
The T+ mixes perfectly when shaken in a shaker cup with water.
I give the mixability a 5/5.
The T+ is priced very competitively with other higher quality pre-workouts.
But I’ll say it again.
I just miss the energizing effects of the caffeine.
So to me, at that higher price point, the poor taste, and the less than optimal energy boast I get when I take it, it does affect the overall value.
Based on value, I give it a ⅗.
I really hope Onnit comes out with a caffeine version and improves the taste.
If they did, this clean T+ pre-workout formula would be a big winner with me.
But that’s just my honest opinion.
If you’re overly sensitive to caffeine and want a really clean pre-workout formula…
