A few months ago, I filmed an episode discussing Jessica Simpson’s simple daily weight loss habit.
Even though I don’t typically follow celebrity fitness and nutrition trends, I shared this with you because:
A) I used to have a major crush on Jessica Simpson back in high school.
B) It was such a simple tip that anyone can do it.
So why am I now sharing a post on how Khloe Kardashian lost 30 pounds?
Well, no, I don’t have a crush on Khloe Kardashian.
The real reason I was intrigued about how Khloe actually lost 30 pounds, was her mindset shift.
This mindset shift revolved around her:
With all that said, let’s discus how Khloe Kardashian lost 30 pounds of weight.
According to Khloe Kardashian’s former personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, she lost the 30 pounds by “killing it in the gym”.
He went on to say, “Khloe works hard…” and “There are no shortcuts…”.
Khloe even calls it a lifestyle change, rather than a quick fix, short-term fad diet, that you usually hear about in Hollywood.
I have to say, as the leader of the Live Lean Nation, this is such a refreshing story from the often short-term, fad-driven, quick-fix, starvation-approach that many celebrities take.
Just like the training programs we provide in our workout app, Khloe Kardashian’s trainer says she gets “definition from repetition”.
In other words, Khloe Kardashian lost 30 pounds of weight by:
I love that Khloe Kardashian has made her training a part of her everyday lifestyle.
So how did she do it?
Khloe found ways to enjoy her exercise, as opposed to exercising just because she felt like she had too.
Do you see how powerful that mindset shift is?
Shift your mindset from thinking you have to do something, to you get to doing something.
This helps when you find an effective form of exercise that you actually enjoy doing.
Once you do this, it’s a game changer.
Here’s the second thing that I love about Khloe Kardashian’s weight loss story.
Khloe admitted if she completely cut out champagne, and ate better food, she would lose weight faster, but fast is not her priority.
As mentioned earlier, she had a specific vision, a purpose, and a why for her weight loss journey.
Khloe said she wanted to wear a midriff bearing shirt.
Do you see how much more powerful it is to have a tangible vision of what you want to accomplish, rather than just saying you want to be healthy?
The key point for you is to get specific with your Why.
Khloe also said she prefers to work out hard, so she can be a little less disciplined with food, and enjoy her lifestyle.
Her priority is about balance, consistency, and progress, not perfection or fast weight loss at all costs.
Khloe Kardashian’s 30 pound weight loss transformation is an example of a celebrity fitness story that I can get behind.
It’s also an example of why it’s important to shift your mindset to:
Great job Khloe, and of course, great job to your former trainer, Gunnar Peterson as well.
