On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m discussing my thoughts on how Khloe Kardashian lost 30 pounds. Is her approach Live Lean approved? Let’s find out.

A few months ago I filmed an episode discussing Jessica Simpson’s simple daily weight loss habit.

Even though I don’t typically follow celebrity fitness trends, I shared this with you because: A) I used to have a major crush on her back in high school.
B) It was such a simple tip that anyone can do it.

So why am I now sharing an episode on how Khloe Kardashian lost 30 pounds?

Well, no I don’t have a crush on her. The real reason is I was intrigued about how she actually lost 30 pounds, and her mindset shift when it came to her vision, her purpose, and her “why” it was important for her to lose weight.

How Khloe Kardashian Lost Weight

According to Khloe Kardashian’s personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, she lost the 30 pounds by “killing it in the gym”. He went on to say, “Khloe works hard.” and “There are no shortcuts…”.

Khloe even calls it a lifestyle change, rather than a quick fix, short-term diet that you always hear about in Hollywood.

I have to say, as the leader of the Live Lean Nation, this is such a refreshing story from the often short-term, fad-driven, quick-fix, starvation-approach that many celebrities take.

These celebrity weight loss “success” stories then hit the mainstream media, then brainwash the rest of the population that they also have to follow these extreme weight loss measures.

Just like the training programs we provide monthly to our Team Live Lean members, Khloe Kardashian’s trainer, says she gets “definition from repetition”, in other words, having her in the gym 3-5 times a week for 45 mins comprised of lifting weights and performing high intensity interval training circuit workouts, like boxing.

The Key To Khloe Kardashian’s Weight Loss

I love that Khloe has made her training a part of her everyday lifestyle. So how did she do it? It’s simple, she found ways to enjoy her exercise as opposed to exercising just because she feels like she has too. Do you see how powerful that mindset shift is?

Now here’s the second thing that I love about Khloe Kardashian’s weight loss story. She admitted that if she completely cut out champagne and ate better food, she would lose weight faster, but fast is not her priority.

She had a specific vision/a purpose/a why for her journey. She said she wanted to wear a midriff bearing shirt.

See how that is a more tangible and real vision rather than just saying you want to be healthy? Key point for you. Get specific with your Why!

Khloe also said she prefers to work out hard so she can be a little less disciplined with food and enjoy her lifestyle. Her priority is not about perfection or fast weight loss at all costs. Her priority is about balance, consistency, and progress.

So bottom line here Live Lean Nation

This is an example of a celebrity fitness story that I can get behind.

It’s an example of how shifting your mindset by being clear on your why, and working towards creating a lifestyle that is not based on perfection, but is based on balance and consistent progress.

Great job Khloe, and of course, great job to her trainer Gunner Peterson as well.
