BEST 30-Second Salad Dressing Recipe (Super Quick, Easy and Healthy)

This is my Go-To Easiest Homemade Salad Dressing Recipe. I use it pretty much daily.

Are you still using store bought salad dressings on your salads?

I get that buying a bottle of salad dressing seems easier than making your own. But unfortunately the vast majority of store-bought dressings are made with cheap refined oils, SUGAR, all kinds of various hidden forms of sugar, and preservatives to extend their shelf life. yuck! 

When shopping for salad dressing, I urge you to avoid these ingredients:

  • Canola Oil
  • Soybean Oil
  • High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Trans Fats (hydrogenated oils)
  • MSG
  • Polysorbate (a preservative)
  • Artificial flavors
  • Artificial Colors

But good luck with pre-made, store-bought dressings. Go ahead and check the ingredients labels on all those bottles at the store. I bet you’ll have a hard time finding ones that don’t contain at least some of these unhealthy ingredients.

Did you know that by making your own salad dressing you’ll not only be eating healthier ingredients, you’ll also save money! woohoo.

All you need to stock up on is:

  • 1 bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (make sure it’s pure – some olive oils claim to be made with olive oil but you check the label and they have canola or soybean oil as well)
  • 1 bottle of Balsamic Vinegar (organic if you can find it)
  • 1 jar of mixed dried herbs
  • and you probably already have salt and pepper in your kitchen.

With these simple 4 ingredients you can make all your salads taste delicious and it’s so so easy.

I call this my lazy salad dressing because it’s so easy to make when I’m not feeling particularly ambitious. I also enjoy some more complex salad dressing recipes, but this one tends to be my go-to because of how easy it is.

Here’s the recipe:

  • 2 T Olive Oil
  • 1T Balsamic Vinegar (or any vinegar of your choice)
  • 1/2 t. Dried Herb Mix
  • Dash each of Salt and Pepper

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and stir together then pour over your salad, OR for the expedited even quicker version just pour ingredients directly onto salad and stir it up.

Enjoy the delicious salad with confidence knowing you’re putting only healthy ingredients in your body.

*Note, you can adjust the recipe to fit your macro goals. If you want lighter calories use more vinegar and less oil, if you want higher calories and more grams of fat increase the oil.
