Live Lean Nation, on today’s exercise demonstration, I’m showing you how to do medicine ball russian twist.
The Standing Medicine Ball Russian Twist is a good rotational exercise to target the oblique muscles as well as your lower back and overall the core.
Watch the STANDING MEDICINE BALL RUSSIAN TWIST: exercise demonstration video above.
To perform STANDING MEDICINE BALL RUSSIAN TWIST:
1. With your feet shoulder width apart, hold a medicine ball with both hands, and extend your arms straight out in front of your chest so they are parallel to the floor.
2. Keeping your arms extended, rotate your torso to one side as far as you can while pivoting the opposite foot with your heel off the floor and the pressure on the ball of your foot.
3. Reverse the movement to the other side.
4. That’s one rep.
5. Repeat.
