If you’ve been watching Live Lean TV for a while now, you know I really promote consuming a high quality protein filled breakfast. You may or may not know that those breakfast cereals with all the healthy claims on the boxes are actually throwing your blood sugar levels on a roller coaster. What does this mean? It means you’re going to be creating a hormonal inbalance in your body that is going to make your energy levels crash, plus creating a fat storing environment in the body.
Not the way you want to start your day!
I know, I hear the excuses already, “I don’t have time to cook”, or “I’m not hungry in the morning”.
Well the first excuse about time isn’t relevant because, as you will see in my cooking video below, this recipe takes less than 5 minutes to prepare.
Secondly, personally I also went through a phase where I was never hungry in the morning. You have to train your body to eat food, even if you don’t feel like it.
Experts say it takes 21 (or 28 days) to make something a habit. Well that is true with your body as well. Start with small portions, be consistent with it every day, and eventually you will program your body to crave breakfast in the morning.
Trust me, it worked for me, and it can work for you.
So give this quick and healthy oatmeal recipe a try.
Your body, your muscles, your fat cells, and your energy levels will thank you!
