Running Lines Drill (a.k.a Suicides)

How To Do The Running Lines Drill Exercise Demonstration Video and Guide

A good test for agility, quickness, and conditioning is performing the running lines drill, formerly known as the running suicide drill.

To get started:

  1. Start by placing 3 cones, or imaginary lines, 15 yards, 10 yards, and 5 yards apart.
  2. Begin at the start line and sprint 15 yards as fast as you can, touch the line, then transition as you sprint back to the start and touch the line.
  3. Immediately transition back to sprint another 10 yards, touch the line, then transition back to the start and touch the line again.
  4. Without stopping, immediately transition to sprint the last 5 yards, touch the line, then finish by sprinting back to start and touch the line.
  5. Record your best time, then repeat.
