So we are going to make a healthy and easy hummus recipe in a blender.

Now you may be asking…

Why would you make your own homemade hummus when it’s so quick and easy to buy store bought hummus?

Well this hummus recipe is also very quick and simple, so anyone can make it.

Plus, this easy hummus recipe is made with real, whole food ingredients, that will add delicious flavor to your food, without adding extra unhealthy calories.

A lot of store bought hummus, sauces, and dips contain unhealthy ingredients, preservatives, and sulfites.

That’s why I love taking control of the ingredients that I put in my body by making my own quick and simple recipes.

Don’t believe me?

Check out the ingredients below and lets get cooking!

But wait.

Once the hummus is made, what do you do with it and how do you eat it?

Sure you can just stick your finger in it…damn that’s good!

But it’s best when you add some crunchy vegetables like celery, carrots, or any of your favorite dipping vegetables.

And if you love your carbs (and earned them), you can have a healthier Ezekiel bread and whole wheat pita for your finger foods to dip into the hummus.

  1. Can you tell me what type of blender is best to make this hummus. I only have a regular blender, will it still work the same as yours?

    1. Hi Debra, I have a high powered blender that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. It is so useful and one of the best investments I’ve made in my kitchen. It makes veggie juice, smoothies, pretty much anything. Just throw it in (full apples etc) and it does all the work.

If you just have a standard blender, it may or may not be powerful enough. You’d just have to give it a try.

      Thanks!
