How to Make Healthy Homemade Deodorant (Toxin Free)

Make your Own Healthy Homemade Deodorant (avoid Toxins)

Traditional deodorants are not actually healthy for us. A lot of store bought deodorants have chemicals and aluminum that can see through your skin and affect your health. A big part of living lean is being aware, not only of what we put IN our bodies but also what we put ON our bodies. This recipe is for a live lean approved deodorant that is simple to make and healthy.

What ingredients are in your skin care products? I’d love to offer you an alternative recipe to a very healthy and very easy to make natural deodorant.

Brad and I have mentioned on our daily vlogs that we’ve been using a homemade deodorant and we know you have been anxious to get the recipe! Here it is (it’s super simple).

Here are the ingredients:
Arrowroot starch, Coconut Oil, Baking Soda and Essential Oils

  • 6 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Arrowroot Starch
  • 4 Tablespoons Baking Soda
  • 5 Drops each of Lemon & Lavender Essential Oils (use any scent of your choice)

That’s it! Stir all these ingredients together in a small bowl and then pour or scoop into small containers with lids to keep in your bathroom. Use your fingers to apply a dime size amount to each armpit and you’ll be smelling fresh even through the toughest live lean workouts!

Here’s what it looks like after about 3-4 hours of refrigeration to solidify it. Leave this on the bathroom shelf over night and it will be perfect consistency for use in the morning.
Scoop out a dime size amount with your finger and apply to each armpit rubbing it into the skin gently, then wash your hands.

  1. Hi love love your videos your so inspirational!! ?? I have a request .
Can you do a video of a meal plan to loose fat/weight for women that hardly
have time to workout maybe just 1-2 times a week. If that’s not too much to
ask. Thanks love you guys !! You guys are the cutest hottest couple!

  2. OMG you two are freakin awesome I made the homemade deodorant got all
sweaty today all I smell is the lemongrass essential oil. It works amazing
no more store bought crap deodorant for me and my family! Have a Happy 4th
    of July guys!???

  3. It’s so not my wheel house. I am hesitant, but will give it a try. I have
tried so many new things since changing my lifestyle why not this. Always
a battle with your mind. Thanks for the vid.

  4. Thanks for the recipe, I have been looking for one with only a few
ingredients (I like simplicity in natural products). I actually developed a
serious reaction to traditional deodorant and have been told by my derm. to
avoid them so very excited to give this a try as the other “natural” ones
from the drug stores have been a waste. Thanks!! 🙂 Do you guys have any
other natural recipes for things like laundry detergent or cleaners? Would
    love your ideas!

  5. Thanks for the video! But I’m concerned…doesn’t the coconut oil leave
    oil marks on your clothes?

  6. I can guarantee that I am I “trial” candidate for this. Let you know how it
    goes after the weekend
