How To Do A Single Arm Barbell Bicep Curl To Shoulder Press Exercise Demonstration Video and Guide

The Single Arm Barbell Bicep Curl To Shoulder Press is a unique bicep and shoulder combo exercise to try if you’re stuck with access to only a barbell and no plates.

To get started:

  1. With one arm, grip the barbell in the center, in front of your thigh, with a palm facing forward grip.
  2. Brace your core and curl the barbell up to your shoulder like a traditional bicep curl.
  3. Your palm should now be facing your body.
  4. Under control, continue to press the barbell over your head while rotating your palm so it now faces forward.
  5. Your arm should now be fully extended.
  6. Reverse the movement under control and repeat.
  7. Switch arms and repeat.
